Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17th July 2026

House of Stewart Gardens Ltd ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website or get in touch with us, how we use it, and what rights you have.

Who we are

House of Stewart Gardens Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at ben@houseofstewartgardens.com.

What personal data we collect

We collect personal data in two ways:

1 When you contact us. If you fill in our enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, address or postcode, the message you send us, and any files or images you choose to upload.

2 Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies. This includes a visitor identifier and website usage data (when you accept cookies), and, via Google Ads conversion tracking, a record that an enquiry form was submitted. See "Cookies" below for more detail.

How and why we use your data

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss your garden design project with you. We do this because it's necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, or because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries made to us.

• To understand how visitors use our website, so we can improve it, using Google Analytics. We only do this where you have given us your consent via our cookie banner.

• To measure the performance of our Google advertising, using Google Ads conversion tracking. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in understanding whether our advertising is working.

• We do not use your data for marketing communications, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

Cookies

When you first visit this site, you'll see a cookie banner asking you to accept or decline cookies.

• If you accept, we set a cookie to recognise you as a visitor, and Google Analytics can record your visit to help us understand site usage.

• If you decline, neither of these happen.

• We run Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how enquiries relate to our Google advertising. This currently runs on every visit to our site and is not affected by your cookie banner choice; when you submit our enquiry form, Google Ads is told that a conversion happened, to help us understand which adverts are working. See "Third parties" below.

• Some cookies may also be set by third-party services embedded on this site (see "Third parties" below) regardless of your cookie choice, where they're necessary for the service to function — for example, the video player.

You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site and revisiting.

Third parties

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run this website. Depending on how you use the site, these may process your data:

• GoDaddy — our website hosting and website-builder platform. GoDaddy hosts our contact form submissions and provides built-in website traffic analytics.

• Google reCAPTCHA — protects our contact forms from spam and automated abuse. Google's own privacy policy and terms apply to this service.

• Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use our website (pages viewed, general usage patterns). Only runs if you accept cookies via our cookie banner; if you decline, no data is sent to Google Analytics.

• Google Ads — measures how many enquiries come from our Google advertising campaigns. When you submit our enquiry form, this is recorded as a conversion by Google Ads. This runs on every visit to our site, regardless of your cookie banner choice. Google's own privacy policy applies to this service.

• Vimeo — hosts the video shown on our homepage, and may set its own cookies when the video loads.

• TrustedSite — provides a trust verification badge on our site.

• WhatsApp — if you contact us via our WhatsApp link, that conversation is handled directly by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own privacy policy, not ours.

How long we keep your data

We keep your enquiry and any correspondence with you for the duration of our conversation and, after that, for a further year in case you get back in touch, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Cookie and analytics data is retained according to the relevant provider's standard retention periods.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you

• Ask us to correct inaccurate data

• Ask us to delete your data

• Ask us to restrict how we use your data

• Object to us processing your data

• Ask us to transfer your data to another organisation

To exercise any of these rights, email ben@houseofstewartgardens.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new service on our website. Any changes will be posted on this page.
